Easy four-ingredient Mint Aero fudge with dark chocolate, milk chocolate, condensed milk and Mint Aero!

Mint Aero mad!
So it’s obvious that I love a bit of Mint Aero. Like… there are quite a few recipes on my blog already such as my Mint Aero drip cake, no-bake Mint Aero cheesecake and more, and I just couldn’t resist another.
This is something I have made for a little while since a friend of mine (Kelly) made some and said she was inspired by me… and I was like I MUST MAKE SOME NOW. So I did, and I’m obsessed.
Chocolates
I’ve made it several times over, all with different chocolates. The first time, just milk chocolate, and it was delightful. The second with just dark chocolate, and it was wonderful. The times after that? Half and half and it was perfect.
You can choose which way to go, or even try white chocolate, but obviously it’s up to you. I just adore the combination of part milk and part dark as I don’t like it overly sweet all the time, and not overly bitter.
The good thing about using dark chocolate and milk chocolate is that you get the best set. Annoyingly, white chocolate can be softer set so the fudge ends up being a bit sticky which no-one wants.
Icing sugar
When I posted this recipe I used icing sugar. This was to reduce the amount of chocolate you needed, but it works with and without. It’s up to you, and it does take a bit of welly, but beating in the sieved icing sugar is good and it makes the mixture so thick.
I decided when I updated the recipe (June 2022) that I would take away the icing sugar to reduce the amount of ingredients you needed to make it easier – but this did mean increasing the quantity of chocolate slightly.
Originally I used 250g each, now I use 300g each!

Mint aero
Mixing in the Aero pieces after is a bit of a struggle if you use a bowl that is too small, so make sure you use one that is big enough! I have made this a fair amount of times and had a mess plenty of times.
As you can see, mine is speckled all over with Mint Aero pieces and crumbs, and I potentially went a little crazy with the Mint Aero… but I just love it. Honestly, I love it. When it’s on offer I always stock up, and I can’t wait to make a version of this with the Orange Aero next week.. Yum!
I cut mine up into inch size pieces as you don’t need a lot of it, and it easily lasts for a long time in the fridge. I hope you love it as much as I do! Enjoy!

Mint Aero Fudge!
Ingredients
- 397 g condensed milk (one tin)
- 300 g dark chocolate
- 300 g milk chocolate
- 300-400 g Mint Aero (bubbles/bars)
Instructions
- Line a tin with parchment paper – I used a 9×9″ square tin as it makes a nice depth of fudge for this recipe!
- Put the dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and condensed milk into a heavy based saucepan
- Melt on a low heat, stiring often so that the chocolate doesn’t catch on the bottom and burn and so that all the ingredients mix together well.
- Or melt the two chocolates together carefully in the microwave/double boiler, and then add in the condensed milk and mix well until smooth.
- Fold through 3/4 of the Mint Aero you are using, or more if you fancy, and then pour into the tin and smooth over the mixture.
- Sprinkle on some Mint Aero crumbs, and some whole bubbles/pieces and press into the top of the fudge and store in the fridge for at least 5-6 hours (Or preferably overnight) to set!
- Once set – remove from the tin and cut into the squares – I cut my tray into small squares of fudge, about 1inch in size! Return to the fridge for another couple of hours to finish setting if its still a little soft– ENJOY!
Notes
- This recipe will last better in the fridge for up to 2-3 weeks if it manages to last that long – you can also easily half or double the recipe, the setting times will just change slightly!
- You could easily also use this with the Orange Aero, normal Chocolate Aero, or any other chocolate bar you fancy!
- I use this tin!
ENJOY!

Hi! If I want to reduce the amount of chocolate back to the original recipe of 250g each, how much icing sugar do I need to add please – I can’t find the original recipe
Thank you
It’s 500g total of chocolate and 50g icing sugar. Sieve
the icing sugar into it. I kept the old recipe as I started
using this one over 3 years ago
When I made this fudge, the mint Aero (bar chopped up and the balls) melted and I didn’t have the effect with the green running through the fudge, like the pictures above. Did you freeze the chocolate before mixing it in? Thanks.
Hiya! No I didn’t freeze it, but your fudge was likely hotter than mine was and therefore melted it. Hope this helps! x
How long should you leave the mixture to cool before folding in the aero bubbles?
Hiya! Only a couple of minutes! Hope this helps! x
If melting the chocolate’s together in the microwave do you add the condensed milk in cold??
Hiya! Melt them all together as one. Hope this helps!
So, we don’t do mint, and couldn’t find orange aero so we went for Terry’s chocolate instead. Microwave method, very low heat in short bursts. Could see the ‘greasy’ stage that has been mentioned but this passed once I smoothed the mixture into the prepared tin with a palette knife. We went with a bit of Christmas sprinkle to add some extra magic to the occasion, and it tastes divine!!! What a brilliantly simple but delicious receipe xx
Hi like a few others my aero melted and top looks a bit greasy hoping it tastes OK once set but it’s already a lot more solid than the baileys fudge I just made before the aero one.
Just made this fudge for the first time and its very greasy. Is this normal. used sainsburys own chocolate .Looks great but as I said really oily, used kitchen roll to soak up excess greas.
Hiya! Annoyingly this means it may have split slightly! Hope this helps x
Just made this and it was super delicious! Be sure to let the mixture cool a touch before adding the aero (mine was still quite warm after beating in the icing sugar and so melted it a bit). As Jane and others have said, not exactly a classic fudge, but honestly cares- it’s awesome, and comes together so quickly! A great sweet to whip up to please a crowd. ❤️
Hi! Any reason why using an electric whisk wouldn’t work?
Hello! it doesn’t need an electric whisk x
This came out extremely hard and I cannot understand why the consistency isn’t like fudge at all, all though its tastes amazing… its more like a solid lump of chocolate… what did I do wrong please? x
That is usually a good thing (As too soft isn’t great) but you could try reducing the chocolate by 50-100g and see if that helps. Although, this is condensed milk fudge rather than ‘classic’ fudge so the texture is different somewhat x
Hi Jane
I’m new to fudge making. Yesterday I made the Toblerone fudge which came out perfect but today I made the mint aero one and it seems hard almost solid consistency on the top and quote crumbly almost on the bottom what have I done wrong please? Thank you xx
Hi, if I were to half the mixture how long would you recommend setting it in the fridge for and would this be the same for all your other fudge recipes. Thank you
I would still set it for the same time really – or until it’s set (as annoying as that sounds!) and yes!
